A specialist manufacturer of snow-flake ice machines. The company started as Hankwang Tech in 2002 and was renamed SANG GO DAE Co., Ltd. in 2017. It develops its own cooling and electronic control technology in-house, and has worked in this single field since founding. Its factory is in Hanam, Gyeonggi-do, Korea.

An ordinary machine grinds ice that has already been frozen. A snow-flake ice machine freezes liquid ingredients directly on a drum surface and shaves them off in thin layers, so the result is not ground ice but a fine, snow-like texture. SANG GO DAE machines use −50℃ rapid cooling developed in-house, and the company holds a patent for producing snow immediately after warm-up.

Choose water-cooled if the site has water supply and drainage, air-cooled if it does not. Water-cooled is more efficient and suits continuous operation; air-cooled installs without separate plumbing work. Some models, such as SNOWCOOK LA/SA, are available in both. It depends on the model. SNOWCOOK model L produces 165 kg per day, and the high-capacity SGD-182W produces 182 kg per day. Exact figures are in the specification table on each product page.

Milk and condensed-milk bases, and also fruit concentrates, coffee, tea and other liquid ingredients. Drum speed can be adjusted to the ingredient to control the texture, and automatic ingredient feeding with a dedicated bottle adapter keeps handling hygienic.

A cleaning mode runs the wash cycle at the press of a button. The controls are simple enough to use without special training. We recommend an ambient temperature of 5–30℃ (cooling water below 25℃ for water-cooled models).

It varies by model. The smallest, SNOWCOOK model L, is 640(D) × 255(W) × 410(H) mm and 31 kg, so it fits on a counter; the high-capacity SGD-182W is 570(D) × 350(W) × 650(H) mm and 65 kg. All models run on AC220V 60Hz.
